Long expeditions

Expedition mode

When you set off for several days, you can't afford a dead phone by midday. Trackisi's Expedition mode is built to last as long as you do.

Aggressive battery saving

Expedition mode lowers the GPS refresh rate, turns off the screen between interactions and cuts unnecessary network calls. The result: considerably extended battery life, even on outings of 10 h+.

Offline maps, zero network dependency

Download your hiking areas in advance. Trackisi shows maps, navigation and points of interest with no connection at all. GPS alone is enough — no 4G, no Wi-Fi.

Advanced features coming soon

Additional features are in development for long expeditions: multi-stage planning, logbook, consumables tracking (water, food), low-power position sharing.

In brief

  • Low-power GPS mode for long outings
  • Downloaded maps for 100% offline use
  • Suited to multi-day treks and range traverses
  • Advanced planning features coming

Frequently asked questions

How long does the battery last in Expedition mode?

It depends on the phone and conditions, but Expedition mode can cut GPS use by two to three times compared with normal mode.

Does Trackisi work with no network at all?

Yes, provided you have downloaded the area maps beforehand. The phone's GPS works independently of the mobile network.
